Encaustic, Gouache and Mixed Media Painting
Cathy graduated with a degree in graphic art from Texas Women’s University.
After a career as an advertising illustrator and designer, Cathy started her own business, Meadow Crest Studios, Inc. She designed and manufactured a nationally represented line of gift and dinner ware. She worked with designers and architects in Texas to create original, award winning custom tile murals – work which has been featured on the cover of Veranda Magazine and in articles in Better Homes and Gardens, Southern Living and Architectural Digest.
Currently, after 25+ years of portraying her clients’ visions, she is enjoying the freedom of self-expression. Now living in the Roaring Fork Valley, Cathy draws inspiration from nature and life experiences. She is combining her painting and design skills with a new love for encaustic painting and mixed media art work.
